Cutwork and Castles.

My homework for the Easter holidays was to complete the stitching on this cutwork mat. It is all worked in button hole stitch, which I have found I enjoy, and I have used a varigated green floss from Anchor. We will be cutting it out on Wednesday morning in class.

The other finish I have is part 21 of my Castles in the Air project.

I heard from Yvonne at Papillon Creations that there are two more parts to go so I guess each one will contain two circle filler-in-er's (I know that is not a word but I know what I mean. LOL)
A close up of the last part.

We have Steve's Mum and Dad arriving soon to spend some time with us over this Bank Holiday weekend so I don't expect I'll be doing much stitching. When I can get on, I'll be doing the may Bent Creek Snapper and then  back to one of my (many) UFO's.
Bye for now.

Your cut work piece is lovely, looking forward to seeing it after Wednesday.
Castles in the Air is gorgeous. I love the colour of the flowers on the trellis over the garden seat.

Oh that cut work piece is gorgeous Midge. I wish I could come to these classes with you, you seem to make such pretty things.

I'm loving the castles still. I've saved all the patterns, b ut seeing yours has made me wish I'd been stitching along with it.

Any idea's how you're going to use or display it once it's finished?

:)
