Brrrrrrrr, it's so cold and snowy here, I have been snuggled up in my stitching chair as much as possible.
I have completed part 17 of castles in the Air.
Here is an update.
Hopefully, I will get the tree skirt completed in the next couple of days.

Bah Humbug.
My friend Kell has offered this (and other) free design on her blog - Kincavel Krosses.
I have made it up as a tree ornament.
Hope you like it.

Look what the postman brought me....
This is the Stashmas gift that I received from Kim.
All the items were beautifully wrapped.
When I unwrapped all the different parcels this is what was inside.
There is a new peacock design with the fabric and floss to start stitching straight away, some beautiful hand dyed sparkly fabric from Silkweaver, some DMC threads, a Hand stitched humbug ornament for my Christmas tree and some items that represent Maryland in the US where Kim comes from.
I am feeling very blessed today.

Life is very busy here at the moment. I am in the middle of various projects that all have deadlines and life is getting in the way.
Here is an update on how the tree skirt is going.
I have edged it with braid and only have a few beaded snowflakes and stars to do, back the tree skirt and it will be done. Hopefully, it will be complete in plenty of time before the Christmas tree gets decorated.
Thanks for looking in!

"Stashmas"
I am a member of a needlecraft forum and every year we have an event called Stashmas. When we sign up to this, we post our likes and dislikes about certain types of needle craft, colours and subject matter. The organizer then pairs us up and we obtain a small Stash present for them. It is sent off to the recipient to arrive no later that 1st December. Along with the gift, we include something to represent ourselves. All the members know my particular passion is PEACOCKS and so it will be no mystery to my swap partner who has sent her gift.
Here is the ornament I have made for the lady I am paired with.
Do you think she will like it?

Castles in the air part 16
I broke off from the tree skirt to the new part of this Stitch-a-long. I love the swan and frog part and it stitched up really quickly.

Christmas is coming.
Here is a tree skirt I am making for this year. It is a Bucilla Felt kit and is lovely to snuggle up with in the evenings. I hope to have it complete before our tree goes up.As you can see, I am progressing quite well.
I'll keep you updated with it.
Thanks for looking in.

Half term
Well, it is half term here for the children and we are going up to our caravan for the week. The car is packed with crafty bits so I can crack on without distractions in the evenings. Hopefully, there will be pics galore when I return.
Hoping to do some cycling and walking whilst we are away and maybe even have afternoon tea at the world famous "Betty's Tearooms" in Harrogate.

Peacock stitchers? Look at this stash!
I thought I would show you my collection of stitchable peacocks.
The first pic is of kits and the second is of charts I have collected.
Most of them are cross stitch but that is fine with me.
I have also started a blackwork and cross stitch pattern that was in a magazine approx a year ago. Here is my progress.
Bye for now and thanks for looking in.

So far........So good
Well, I decided it was probably time I got myself a blog.
Here is a little bit about me.
I am a 43yr old Mum of two. I love all crafts but particularly needlework (all types) and Parchment craft.
I have an obsession with all things peacock and have several pieces of stiching on the go including Teresa Wentzler's Peacock Tapestry and Papillon Creations Castles in the Air.
I'll take some photo's and pop them in my next post.
