I first started this patern when I was pregnant with my daughter - she is 11 now!! - and gave up because of all the blended threads. Here is how I left it all those years ago.
I dug it out of the cupboard and had another go at it. It is still a real pain in the neck with all the blending - up to 3 different colours in the needle for several stitches and then change - but I am pleased with my progress.
Back in the drawer it goes because the next part of my Castles project is due out this week and I really want to stay up to date with that.

Oooo, you got a lot done! This is one of my UFO's too so I know how much stitching went into that area! I should really pull mine out...
This is such a gorgeous design Midge and it looks really hard going, but I bet once you get going on that peacock, you won't be able to put it down. It's going to be so stunning!
